History of the Circle of Commitment
- 2015: Whitaker Circle formed as an independent, non-profit and 501(c)(3) organization as a response to cutbacks in state funding & limitations imposed upon the PTA by-laws regarding what PTAs can fund. The organization is funded by individual donations, local businesses, company matches, and school events.
- 2021-2022: The Whitaker PTA and Circle of Commitment merged to have a unified approach for support, as well as a combined income.
